Located in Mina, close to the smallest of the Jamarat, it is named after the khayf of the Banu Kinana. The Prophet (PBUH) stayed at this location during the Farewell Pilgrimage. It is also called the Mosque of Mina because it is located in Mina. The mosque was expanded and rebuilt in 1987, during the reign of King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims each year.
