Located in the west of Makkah, east of the western markers of the Sacred Precinct on the old Jeddah-Makkah road, it was established in 1942. The water outlets at this public fountain [Sabīl] are among the most numerous of all those established by King Abdulaziz Al Saud. This is because it is the only one built at the beginning of the road leading to Makkah, where it serves both travelers leaving Makkah and those entering it.
